Computing Trainers Required
We are looking for new trainers to join our team to help deliver our popular range of computing courses.
You will need a combination of technical skills and knowledge together with great communication skills, confidence and ability to lead groups of learners.  You’ll need to think on your feet and have a range of strategies to deal with a demanding audience of primary and secondary teachers with diverse needs and ability levels.
You must have a positive and supportive manner and be motivated by enabling people to learn and to fulfil their potential. Â Experience of teaching young people, either in formal classroom settings or at code clubs or similar, would be an advantage.
You will be required to deliver a number of computing courses and in-depth knowledge of the following are essential:
- Python
- Raspberry Pi
- Linux
- Scratch
In addition, you will need to have a professional, responsible and proactive attitude and be willing to be flexible. Â We always do our best to support you, but occasionally things happen that are outside of our control - eg issues with the venue - and it will be your responsibility to stay calm and to mitigate.
Ideally, we need someone within easy reach of Manchester and Birmingham, with driving licence and own transport. Â We may also be running workshops abroad in the near future, so willingness to be away from home for extended periods could be an advantage.
If you’re interested in this position, please send your CV, including relevant experience, together with a brief cover email to hello@cpdforteachers.com, explaining why you would be suitable for the role.  Please note that any CVs sent without a non-generic introduction will be ignored and please, no agencies.
We pay competitive rates plus travel and accommodation expenses.
