- Ideas for links with Numeracy and Literacy
- Linking creative dance with ‘Understanding the World’
- Linking creative dance with ‘Expressive Arts and Design’
Session 2: Early Years & KS 1 Transition – The Jungle Dance
- The Language of Dance: What, How, Where & Whom
- Creating Actions that represent meaning – Dance Sentence
- Differentiation in Dance – traffic light system
- Paired task work that stretches the most able
Session 3: Year 2: The Great Fire of London – Narrative Creative Dance
- The Language of Dance: What, How, Where & Whom
- Developing a dance sentence – motif
- Creating a dance scheme of work based on a narrative theme
- Ideas for choreographing a whole dance piece as part of a scheme of work, a class assembly or dance festival.
